ABOUT FLANNAGAN'S GOLF TOURS
Flannagan's Golf Tours is headquartered in Bandon, Oregon and has offices in
San Diego, California and Portland, Oregon.
Since the beginning, we have specialized in helping golfers with their golf trips to classic golf destinations like Scotland and Ireland as well as to top US destinations like Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Kiawah Island, Pinehurst, Whistling Straits, Scottsdale, Hawaii and San Diego.
Our golf travel specialists are all avid golfers, passionate about the game and eager to provide the best customer service to you and your group.
Our Team
Kim started golfing in 1995 in San Diego and started Flannagan’s Golf Tours in 2004 with John. The company has grown steadily over the years, thanks to our wonderful clients who book year after year and refer their friends. "It means the world to us to get a referral from a client. It’s the highest compliment.” Kim feels very fortunate that every day, she gets to help golfers achieve their bucket list trips and dream golf vacations.
John has been an avid golfer since taking up the sport in 1991. After a brief stint with Callaway Golf and another golf tour operator, John and Kim started Flannagan’s Golf Tours. "We just treat our clients as friends and still do to this day. I have to pinch myself everyday that I can do a job that I love doing and still make a living.”
Terry Legault
Golf Travel Specialist
Terry grew up in a family of golfers and has been surrounded by golf her whole life. She is an avid golfer who has travelled the world playing different courses. Among her favorites: Royal Dornoch in Scotland, Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand, Royal County Down in Ireland, The Links at Fancourt in South Africa, and Pebble Beach. She plays every weekend and takes great pride in beating the guys she plays with! Born in Montreal, Canada, Terry moved with her family to San Diego, CA, in 1999 where she has raised her 2 daughters who are now both in college. She started working for the family golf business selling golf packages in 2002, and when the company was sold in 2012, she went to work with Flannagan's Golf Tours and has never looked back! Terry enjoys every aspect of golf and is very passionate about helping people make their dream golf vacations a reality.
Sam McCullough
Golf Travel Specialist
Sam has been golfing since he was 14 years old and he truly loves the game. He has played golf all over the world and loves helping clients put together a trip experience of a lifetime. His favorite course is Royal Dornoch, but his favorite overall golf experience was the Old Course St Andrews. He’s played all over the world, but spent a lot of time golfing in the Northwest US, Palm Springs area, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Sam has worked as a “cart boy”, golf course maintenance worker, assistant pro, and caddie, and now happily as a golf travel specialist. He says “ It is no accident I landed in the golf Mecca which is Bandon, Oregon. I am blessed to be raising a family in a place I truly love.”
Bucky Deters
Golf Travel Specialist
Bucky started golfing around the age of 6 years old, playing junior golf in the Northern Michigan summers. His favorite golf destination in the world is New Zealand, for its beautiful courses combined with a beautiful countryside. Scotland is his second favorite due to the history and true links golf courses. He loves helping his clients put together the most enjoyable golf adventure possible. Being from the Midwest, he knows the golf courses there quite well and takes the golfer to some truly beautiful places.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with a typical golf package?
Our packages typically include lodging, taxes, resort fees, and tee times with cart. We have some standard packages, such as Summer Stay/Play at Pebble Beach Golf Resort, but most of our packages are customized to our customers’ interests.
How far in advance can I book?
For golf resorts, we can book 12-18 months in advance. For golf courses, it varies from typically 60 days to 365 days. For some destinations, like Bandon Dunes and Pebble Beach, we recommend booking at least a year in advance if you want to travel during peak season (summer for Bandon and September/October for Pebble Beach).
Do you work with groups?
Yes, we sure do! We are experienced with groups of all sizes.
I’d like to get a golf trip for my colleague as a retirement gift, but I don’t know where they want to go.
A gift certificate is a great option. For $150, you can get a gift certificate started and we can prepare a sample itinerary to a destination you think he might like. Give the gift and then they can call us to make the details. We’ll keep you updated and you pay when they book and the balance 45 days before travel (or whatever timelines apply to the trip).
What is not included?
Airfare, meals (unless specified), caddies (unless specified), or gratuities (unless specified).
Do you offer hosted tours or tours with guides?
We do not currently offer hosted tours; however, if you are looking for a hosted tour, let us know and we can put you in touch with a recommended golf tour operator.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Yes, absolutely and especially for international travel for the medical coverage benefits. Most people think of travel insurance in terms of cancellation, which is great, but there are also benefits to help you with medical coverage, lost luggage and trip delay.
May I ship my clubs ahead of time?
Yes! Contact your Golf Travel Specialist for the shipping address and you can get a quote with our shipping partner, Ship Sticks.
Do you offer rental cars?
Yes, but currently only for non-USA or non-Canadian customers. We do offer airport transportation, both private and shuttle, for most destinations worldwide. Ask your golf Travel Specialist for more information or a quote.
Do you work with travel agents and tour operators?
Yes, quite regularly for both.

Hi Kim, Just a note to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our Pebble Beach golf trip last week. It is rare today when you spend a lot of money for a trip and have it actually exceed your expectations. All the planning you did for our trip worked out perfectly including the caddies. Needless to say all three courses were great and to play Pebble Beach was a fantastic golfing experience. The only thing that could be better would have been an earlier than 2:40 tee time at Pebble Beach. It took a full 6 hours to play Pebble and we finished the last hole in the dark and cold which is unfortunate since it is one of the most iconic holes on the course. Thanks again for all your help and we will recommend you to any of our friends who want to plan a golf trip.

Hi, John, We just returned from the trip you--it was better than we imagined. The courses were in magnificent condition (especially Sawgrass, which, was still in tournament condition), and the accommodations were five-star all the way. We were delightfully surprised with the villa at SeaPines. Not only did the unit have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, but also a second bedroom/loft with a full bath. We want to thank you for arranging a remarkable “bucket list” experience. We both look forward to having you arrange our next trip, perhaps on the West Coast.
